On average, a Romanian works over 2,000 hours per year, while the European average is only 1,571 hours per year.
Romanians surpass even Americans in this regard, who work 1,811 hours per year, 15% more than Europeans.
The problem is that although Romanians work a lot, labor productivity in Romania is 30% lower than the European average.
In conclusion, Romanians work a lot and quite poorly. However, there are also employees less productive than Romanians, namely those from Croatia, Latvia, Hungary, Slovakia and Bulgaria.
On the other hand, although they work on average only 1,600 hours per year, much less than us, employees in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Austria and Germany are at the top of productivity at work.
