A study by Reveal Marketing Research revealed concerning data about the well-being of employees in Romania. According to the study, more than half (51%) of Romanians are at risk of developing health problems due to stress in the workplace.
The main causes of stress in the workplace include:
High workload (42%)
Salary stagnation (33%)
Taking on excessive responsibility (33%)
Interaction with difficult customers (24%)
The consequences of stress in the workplace can be severe, including:
Burnout syndrome (65% of employees observed colleagues affected)
Job dissatisfaction (19% are dissatisfied)
Lack of fulfillment (66% don't feel fulfilled)
Physical and mental health problems
There is hope, however. The study found that half of Romanians (51%) have already taken steps to reduce stress in the workplace. Measures taken include:
Time management
Delegating tasks
Taking breaks
Exercising
Talking to a specialist
It is important for employees to be aware of the risks associated with workplace stress and take steps to protect themselves. Employers also have an important role to play in creating a healthy and safe work environment for their employees.
